All of our classes are taught using positive and motivational training techniques to create a stress free and fun learning environment for you and your pet. Class size is limited to six dogs per class (eight for puppy class) to ensure individual attention for every dog and owner team.

Puppy Parties

Bring in your vaccinated puppy ages 10 weeks to 5 months for socialization and games. $5 fee, drop in sessions.

Dogz in the Hood

Need to work on your neighborhood manners? We take you and your dog out of the classroom and onto pathways and parks, helping you teach your dog how to behave in real life situations, helping your dog to walk nicely on a leash and to stay close.

Puppy Kindergarten

Next class begins: Monday, March 1st at 7:30 pm and Monday, March 22nd at 8:30 pm.

For puppies 5 months and under. This course covers basic commands including sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking and leave-it. As well as puppy manners such as off (no jumping on people), waiting at doorways, tolerating collar grabs and handling of paws, mouth and tail. Topics such as grooming, time-outs, proper socialization techniques and learning/training theory will also be discussed. Puppies will receive off-leash play time at the end of class.

Next class begins: Monday, February 22nd at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, March 16th at 6:30 pm and Wednesday, March 31st at 6:30 pm.

For dogs 5 months and older. This course covers basic commands including sit, down, stay, loose leash walking and leave-it. As well as manners such as off (no jumping on people), waiting at doorways, sitting for greeting, tolerating collar grabs and handling of paws, mouth and tail. Topics such as grooming, time outs, proofing and training/learning theory will also be discussed.

This class is for dogs and owners who have completed a puppy or basic obedience class but would like to continue working on basic manners and skills. This class includes lots of proofing, games, free shaping and more!

A program dedicated entirely to teaching your dog to come when called the first time, no matter what distractions are around him!

This class is for dogs with basic obedience who need more work and new challenges. The class covers advanced commands including stand, finishes, a formal heel and more proofing. Students will also be introduced to the sport of Rally Obedience and will learn to navigate a Rally-O course and all the novice level signs.

Rally-O Level 2 is for dogs who have graduated from our Rally-O class and would like to continue learning the sport of Rally Obedience. Caro advanced level signs will be taught, along with new behaviours including heeling around food dishes, moving down, stand for exam and sending over jumps.

Dog obedience for the more advanced offering a variety of challenges and fun. You and your dog will learn new behaviours such as retreiving on command, scent discrimination, ability to ask your dog for a sit, stand, down from a distance of 30 feet or more, and heeling with constant eye contact.

Rowdy Dogz offers private training in a variety of forms to accommodate you and your dog. Private consults and training are available in your home while you work side-by-side with the trainer. For more difficult problems, a trainer can work alone with your dog while you're away at work (or while you're at home!) and then meet with you after several sessions to show you how to maintain the improved behaviour. If your dog is a daycare client, a trainer can work with your dog while he/she spends their days in daycare. Private training is custom tailored to suit your needs and focus on the issues that you care about!

Are you happy with your dog's behaviour apart from one or two things? Does your dog pull on leash or not always come when called? Starting in January, Rowdy Dogz is offering a two hour private class with a trainer for these particular issues. Training will happen on your schedule and you will meet with your trainer on two separate days for an hour each to work one-on-one with your specific goals. $120
